The Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Awareness Program

The first workshop -  100 girl students from Classes 11 and 12 participated.

During my session, I highlighted the steps taken by the Government of India in integrating IKS into higher education through NEP 2020. Through the story of Nachiketa, I emphasized the importance of true knowledge and the profound legacy of Indian Knowledge Systems, dating back to the Vedic age. We discussed how knowledge was created, preserved, and passed down in ancient India.

The second workshop  -  boys and girls from Classes 9 and 10, numbering around 50, participated.

I discussed the role of IKS in NEP 2020 and introduced the students to the deeper meaning of the name 'Bharata.' Through the story of Shvetaketu, I explained the importance of learning, India's invaluable contributions to science and technology, and how reviving that ancient knowledge can help us understand the true role of Bharat in the development of humanity, aligning with the vision of Vikasit Bharat (Developed India).

Anil ji from Vivekananda Kendra and Swati Semwal from CHS, Rishihood University, were present throughout the sessions.

In a small way and with limited resources we are endeavouring to sow the seeds of knowledge that will help shape a brighter, more informed future.
