BJP will come to power once again. All opinion polls conclude.

But every body says still election is election.

What is the possible best outcome for INDIA Group

Congress  100

Left + AAP  30

DMK  30

NCP + Shivsena  30

Bihar - Lalu   30

UP   SP          30

UP  5

Jharkhanda 2

Chattisgarh 2

Assam  5

Himachal 2

Punjab  2

Haryana 2

Total 91

To make it 100 we can add 5 more from Rajasthan, 2 from Uttarakhand and 2 from Gujarat.

So the situation at the moment is not ideal for congress or other opposition parties. Each of them have to increase their effort and increase the seats won to a very significant extent to stop BJP.

This is what Prashant Kishor says. The opposition group does not have enough resources.

BJP Losing Seats - Yogendra Yadav - BJP - People Disappointed - But May Still Cross 272 - Prashant Kishore - Two Political Analysts and Consultants

Compared to 2019, opposition challenge to BJP is very stiff this time. No doubt people have realized the inabilities of the present government to do good in economy. Important projects like doubling income of farmers, make in India and micro-sector development were abandoned by Modi Government as they could not make headaway. Congress have clearly written in the manifesto that GDP underperformed during Modi rule. Even stockmarket underpeformed.

The political manipulations of BJP are not to the liking of people. The democratic system of the country is further vitiated by BJP tactics.

The social media reflects the two contrasting views. Both agree that there is dissatisfaction in people. One says that voting will reflect it. The other says, Modi will still sail through.

BJP Lok Sabha Mission - 2014 - 2019 - 2024

2024 Lok Sabha Election
In the 2024 Lok Sabha election, BJP is facing stiff chllenge.

19.5.2024
The New BJP: Modi and the Making of the World's Largest Political Party

Nalin Mehta
Taylor & Francis, l 2024 - Social Science - 822 pages
This book examines how the BJP became the world’s largest political party. It goes beyond the usual narrative of the party’s Hindutva politics to explain how, under Narendra Modi, the party reshaped the Indian polity using its own brand of social engineering. According to the findings of this book, this reconstruction was cleverly powered by new caste coalitions, the claim of a new welfare state that focused on marginalised social groups and the making of a women-voter base.

Based on data from three unique indices—the Mehta–Singh Social Index, which studies the caste composition of Indian political parties; the Narad Index, which calculates communication patterns across topics and audiences; and PollNiti, which connects and tallies hundreds of political and economic datasets—The New BJP is full of startling insights into the way both the party and the country function. Previously untapped historical records, exclusive interviews with party leaders and comprehensive reportage from across India provide a fresh understanding of the BJP’s growth areas, including the Northeast and south India.

BJP 272+ is a strategic success.

Now BJP has to win tactically in every booth, ward and constituency. The involvement of ground level cadre is now very important.

4 April 2014

With the announcement of opinion polls by CNN-IBN and NDTV, BJP 272+ is a strategic success.

Now BJP has to win tactically in every booth, ward and constituency. The involvement of ground level cadre is now very important.

Modi said in Bareilly meeting on 1 April 2014 - Give me 300 seats. He upped the 272 figure to 300.

Based on the best of the opinion polls for individual states, we can say BJP Mission 272+ is within the feasible region. The realization of the mission depends on canvassing work put in by the BJP Leaders and Workers.

My analytical estimates of state targets are getting confirmed by the latest CNN-IBN and NDTV Surveys of 3.4.2014

BJP and NDA adding 25 more seats than forecast in the Times-CVoter opinion poll on 13 Feb 2014 is possible. - Yashwant Deshmukh
It is because in states where there is direct contest between BJP and Congress, BJP is getting more than 50% vote and Congress around 35%. It could mean 26-0 in Gujarat, 25-0 in Rajastan and 29-0 in Madhya Pradesh (In MP one can hope that Scindia and Kamal Nath will keep their seats). So if the trend continues BJP may up to 225 and NDA to 250.

CNN-IBN Survey January 20-25

23 January UP Survey results declared. 41-49 in favour of BJP

BJP 272+ plan still in realistic zone

Yogendra Yadav said confidently in Delhi Assembly polls that the momentum in favour of the party will increase over a period. I think similar thinking justifies momentum in favour of BJP.  BJP announced many plans for contacting large number of people through door to door campaign. Now they will have the confidence to put in effort to reach the target.
