రుద్రమదేవి కాకతీయుల వంశంలో వెలిగిన మహారాణి. ఈమె తండ్రి గణపతిదేవునికి పుత్ర సంతానం లేదు. అందువలన రుద్రాంబను తన కుమారుడిలా పెంచుకొని రుద్రదేవుడని నామకరణం చేసాడు. గణపతిదేవుడు రుద్రమదేవిని నిరవద్యపుర (నిడదవోలు ) ప్రాంతాన్ని పాలిస్తున్న తూర్పు చాళుక్యుడైన వీరభద్రుడికి ఇచ్చి వివాహం చేశాడు.
