Anil Kumble wrote to the board asking them to share 26% of all types of revenues to players. Board is presently sharing only some types of revenue. This may increase income Indian Cricket players.
May be a good suggestion or demand. But the income sharing may be extended up to district level players. So that more number of players who contribute to development of the game as well as to creation of interest in the game across the length and breadth of the country.
In many other disciplines also such sharing may be thought of. This is a way of giving a share of the income generated by players. Also one can think of investing a part of that income in stadiums etc. as capital investment and then distributing a portion of the revenue to the stadium as income for investments. That BCCI, and state boards as well as players and some other investors can invest in sports stadiums in all the districts of the country and increase facilities for sports in the country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the decision to set up a Task Force to prepare a comprehensive action plan for effective participation in the next three Olympics at the meeting of Council of Ministers.
So Indians have to now wait for the constitution of task force and its report.
The Task Force will be given the responsibility to prepare overall strategy for sports facility, training, selection procedure and other related matters in connection with India's participation and performance in Tokyo 2020 Olympics and further Olympics.
In total 12 medals are up for grabs today. Involving sports and categories of road cycling, 10m air rifle women’s shooting, Men’s archery team bronze and gold, judo women’s 48kg, judo men’s 60kg, shooting men’s 10m air pistol, fencing, weightlifting women’s 48kg and 400m swimming.

A great achievement for a girl from Hyderabad that too from a muslim family. She faced many obstacles to play tennis in a tennis usual outfit. She withstood all threats and orders and continued playing and proved her ability in a field of her choice on the world level. It only shows that religious leaders are always not right. They may be right in some aspects of life but not in each and every aspect.
She faced problems in her personal life. But overcome those problems still maintained her focus and won the ultimate victory.

Is Indian sports establishment chasing Olympic medals or improvement in the human performance.
It is important that India holds National games every year. Each of the National Games winners have to sent for additional training by International coaches who coach elite athletes. Such international coaches can be from India also. What is needed is the experience of coaching a medal winner. Can we try to improve the performance of a National Gold medalist by 10% in the next year by providing him special elite athlete training.
Today (11 August 2012) Basant Bahadur Rana improved National Record in 50 Km Walk in London Olympics. Congratulations Rana. Well done.
