The Nalanda Dance Research Centre’s NALANDA NRITYA KALA MAHAVIDYALAYA (NNKM), College Of Classical Dance, accredited by NAAC, is affiliated to the University of Mumbai in the Faculty of Fine Arts. The College is housed in its own spacious premises at Plot A-7/1,N.S.Road No.10, J.V.P.D. Scheme, Vile Parle (West), Mumbai - 400 049.
The College is under the management of the NALANDA DANCE RESEARCH CENTRE (NDRC). The chief aim of Nalanda is to propagate the magnificent tradition of Indian Classical Dance in its pristine purity and to conduct research. Within a short span Nalanda has been acknowledged as one of the premier institutions in Mumbai for classical dance with renowned teachers on its staff. This course, in fact, has opened up excellent job opportunities due to its systematic and academic approach. With the Universities all over the country opening their own faculties of Fine Arts, these students stand excellent opportunities in the academic sphere as dance professors.
Students enroll in the college as in any other college after having passed the S.S.C. (Xth Std.) Examinations for the degrees;
1) Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance) B.F.A. (Dance) 5 years course
2) Master of Fine Arts (Dance) M.F.A. (Dance) 2 years course after B.F.A.
3) Ph. D. in Dance
