A total of 312 candidates have filed nominations for 12 Assembly seats in the district.
Ashish Deshmukh filed nomination as BJP candidate from Katol constituency. He will face his uncle, NCP leader and minister Anil Deshmukh.
Two-term sitting Congress MLA from Nagpur-South Dinanath Padole in contesting on NCP ticket. His main opponent will be former minister Satish Chaturvedi.
Sameer Meghe will contest on BJP ticket from Hingana.
