Nagaland: It will vote in a single phase on April 19.
BJP is now is in power in six of the seven states that are known as the ‘Seven Sisters’.
It is running majority governments in Assam, Manipur, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh.
BJP is also a partner in the ruling coalitions in Meghalaya and Nagaland.
The only state in the region currently where the BJP is in the Opposition is Mizoram.
According to an opinion poll survey by ABP-CVoter, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) could win as many as 9 of the 11 Lok Sabha seats in the six states of Northeast excluding Assam. The I.N.D.I.A blocis likely to win one Lok Sabha seat and others one.

2019 : . NDPPs Tokheho Yepthemi won. Yepthemi defeated Congress candidate KL Chishi by a margin of 16,344 votes. Voter turnout of 78%.
2014: In 2014, Neiphiu Rio of the National Democratic Progressive Party won the Nagaland Lok Sabha seat. However, after the state Assembly elections, Neiphiu Rio resigned and became the Chief Minister of Nagaland.
A by-election was held on May 28, 2018, in which BJP-backed NDPP candidate Tokheho Yepthemi won by a margin of 1,73,746 votes. Tokheho Yepthemi received 5,94,205 votes and Naga Peoples Front (NPF) candidate Apok Jamir received 4,20,459 votes. voting percentage was 70%.
