Justice Shri Ashok Kumar Mathur - Biography



Justice Ashok Kumar Mathur is presently Chairman, 7th Pay Commission for Central Government Employees and Workers.

Justice Shri Ashok Kumar Mathur, M.A.,L.L.B was enrolled as an Advocate of the Rajasthan High Court in 1967. In 1969 Justice Mathur was appointed as Assistant Government Advocate and promoted to Deputy Government Advocate before becoming Government Advocate of Jodhpur in 1977 and Additional Advocate General in 1981. In 1985 Justice Mathur was appointed as Additional Judge and a year later as permanent Judge of the Rajasthan High Court.


In 1994 Justice Mathur joined the Madhya Pradesh High Court and went on to become its Chief Justice in 1996 before assuming the charge of Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court in 1999.

Career in Supreme Court
In 2004 Justice Mathur was elevated as Judge, Supreme Court of India where he served for four years before retiring in August 2008.

Post Retirement Activity
From September 2008 till Aug 2013 he served as the First Chairperson of the Armed Forces Tribunal, Principal Bench. He has extensively travelled to many Countries and participated in several Conferences and Seminars held in USA, UK, France, Canada, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium South Africa, Netherlands, Thailand, Singapore and other countries.

Portfolio Allocation



Subhash Desai of the Shiv Sena,  was allotted the Industries portfolio.

Sena leader Diwakar Raote, currently a member of legislative council and former Mumbai Mayor, has been given the Transport portfolio.

Eknath Shinde of Sena, a third time MLA and Leader of Opposition till Friday will hold the charge of Public Works (including Public Undertakings) in the state ministry.

Sena leader Dr Deepak Sawant, who is currently an MLC, has been alloted Public Health and Family Welfare department.

Ramdas Kadam of Sena, an MLC, and a former Leader of Opposition has been made in-charge of Environment portfolio.

BJP leader Girish Bapat, sixth term MLA from Kasba Peth in Pune has been alloted Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, Food and Drugs Administration and Parliamentary Affairs.

Girish Mahajan, fifth term BJP MLA from Jamner in Jalgaon will hold charge of Water Resources.

Chandrashekhar Bawankule of BJP, who is a third term MLA from Kamptee in Vidarbha has been alloted Energy, New and Renewable Energy portfolio.

BJP leader Babanrao Lonikar, a third time MLA and head of party's Jalna district unit will hold charge of Water Supply and Sanitation portfolios.

Rajkumar Badole, a second term MLA from Arjuni Morgaon in Bhandara  will be in-charge of Social Justice and Special Assistance portfolio.



Deepak Kesarkar, Shiv Sena  will be MoS for Finance and Rural Development.

Ravindra Waikar of Sena, a third term MLA from Jogeshwari here will be MoS for Housing, Higher and Technical Education.

Sanjay Rathod, who is Yavatmal district president of Shiv Sena and a third term MLA from Digras has been made MoS for Revenue department.

Vijay Shivtare of Shiv Sena who represents Purandar Assembly seat and is a second term MLA, will be MoS for Water Resources and Water Conservation department.

Dada Bhuse of Sena, who is a third term MLA from Malegaon will be Mos for Co-operation department.

Ram Shinde, a BJP MLA from Karjat Jamkhed seat will be MoS for Home (Rural), Marketing, Public Health and Tourism.

Vijay Deshmukh of BJP, who is third term MLA from North Solapur seat will be MoS for Public Works (Public Undertakings), Transport, Labour and Textiles.

Raje Ambrishrao Atram of BJP, who won from Aheri, will be MoS for Tribal Development.

Dr Ranjit Patil, an MLC who represents Amravati graduates constituency will be MoS for Home (Urban), Urban Development, General Administration, Law and Judiciary and Parliamentary Affairs.

Pravin Pote of BJP will be MoS for Industries and Mining, Environment, Public Works (excluding public undertaking).

Home Guards - India





ORGANISATION STRUCTURE

 AT CENTRE’S LEVEL

 At the Central level, the Director General Civil Defence in the Ministry of Home Affairs deals with the matters concerning the raising, training and equipping of the Home Guards in the country.  A Deputy Director General, an Assistant Director General, a Senior Staff Officer and a Junior Staff Officer, together with other secretarial staff, assist him.

AT STATE/UT LEVEL
At the State level, the general supervision and control of the Home Guards vests in the Commandant General, who is either in the rank of DGP/IGP or a senior DIG of Police.  The control of Home Guards at the Divisional level is vested in a Divisional Commandant who is equivalent in rank to a Superintendent of Police or an army Major.  A District Commandant who is equivalent in rank either to a Dy.S.P or a Captain commands Home Guards in a district.

Yukta Mookhey (Mukhi) - Miss World 1999



Yukta Mookhey (born 7 October 1977) is an Indian model and actress. She was crowned Miss World in December 1999 at the Olympia theatre in London at the age of 22. She was crowned by her predecessor, Miss World 1998 Linor Abargil, at the Olympia Hall, London. The day was 5 December in Indian time and 4 December in London time.
