The Department of Heavy Industry, in active consultation with industry associations & bodies has drafted a National Policy on Capital Goods. This is the first time that a policy on Capital Goods is being framed. This is the most critical sector for achieving the vision of “Make in India” as the sector has multiplier effect on other sectors of economy. This National Policy on Capital Goods is envisaged to unlock the potential for this promising sector and establish India as a global manufacturing powerhouse.
The draft policy has been put on public domain for seeking comments, views and suggestions of stakeholders/ public in general at http://dhi.nic.in/writereaddata/UploadFile/National_policy_on_Capital_Goods_v14635808448227425616.pdf . The Department has sought comments on the draft policy by 31.10.2015.
