I was also a part of the organizing team for the event. Attended the lecture. Prof. Vaidyanathan mixed important points of the presentation with characteristic humour and made the audience involved in the talk. Audience also responded well to various questions on Indian Economy.

Vaidyanathan said that there is indeed crisis in European countries. But the crisis is for the advanced economies of Europe and emerging countries should not spread panic in their coutrymen. Emerging countries have the opportunity to strengthen their economies.

Collapse of family in USA and England is cited as one reason for the decline of savings in those countries.
