Kalyan Singh BJP Leader

Kalyan Singh celebrated his 82nd birthday at his Mall Avenue residence by cutting a cake amidst fireworks by party workers. On this occasion, Singh announced only Modi had the vision to eradicate corruption and poverty from the country.
National president of Bharatiya Janata Party Rajnath Singh, state president Laxmikant Bajpai, Ashok Singhal, Uma Bharti, Amit Shah called up the senior leader to wish him best of health. Senior BJP leaders Vinay Katiyar, Kalraj Mishra, Ramapati Ram Tripathi and Surya Pratap Shahi also visited Kalyan Singh to greet him on his birthday. On the occasion, Kalyan Singh asked the  partymen to join hands to make Modi the Prime Minister of India.

Kalyan Singh criticized SP for selectively withdrawing cases in Muzaffarpur riots.

Pointing out  that the politics in the country was at a turning point, Kalyan Singh Predicted that the BJP would get 50 plus seats in the state. The state was currently yearning for change and look toward central government  under the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

He first became the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh in June 1991.
He later served as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh again between September 1997 and November 1999.
